Compensation: $100,000–$150,000 base (DOE) + commission

About the Role
The Account Executive is a senior-level sales professional responsible for driving strategic growth and profitability across both the construction and service divisions. This individual will lead the full sales cycle, from targeted prospecting and technical assessments to contract negotiation and long-term account management. Whether pursuing multi-million-dollar design-build projects or expanding recurring service revenue, this role serves as a strategic partner to clients, leveraging deep technical and market knowledge to deliver value-driven HVAC solutions.

Who You Are:
    • You are a results-driven professional with 4+ years of experience in commercial HVAC or mechanical contracting sales.
    • You possess a deep technical understanding of mechanical systems, construction management, and preventative maintenance strategies.
    • You have a proven track record of closing multi-million-dollar projects and consistently achieving revenue and margin targets.
    • You excel at building strategic relationships, negotiating complex contracts, and delivering compelling presentations to multiple stakeholders.
    • You are proficient with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and estimating/proposal tools.
    • You hold a valid California driver’s license for travel to client and job sites.

 


What You’ll Do
    • Strategic Sales & Business Development
        ◦ Lead the pursuit and closure of large commercial HVAC construction projects ($2M–$10M+) and strategic service maintenance agreements.
        ◦ Build and maintain long-term relationships with key general contractors, developers, property managers, and facility owners.
        ◦ Identify new markets and emerging opportunities aligned with company growth objectives.
        ◦ Conduct facility assessments and equipment condition reviews to develop customized design-build or service recommendations.
    • Proposal Development & Negotiation
        ◦ Partner with Estimating, Operations, and Engineering to develop complex proposals, design solutions, and accurate labor estimates.
        ◦ Negotiate contract terms, scope, and pricing to meet company profitability targets and ensure customer satisfaction.
        ◦ Collaborate across divisions to offer bundled solutions (construction + service) for long-term client retention.
    • Leadership & Mentorship
        ◦ Support and mentor junior Sales Representatives in business development, estimating coordination, and proposal strategy.
        ◦ Contribute to the development of sales processes, pricing models, and annual business planning.

 

What We’re Looking For
    • 4+ years of experience in commercial HVAC or mechanical contracting project and/or service sales.
    • Proven record of closing large scale, high dollar contracts.
    • Deep understanding of mechanical systems, construction management, and project delivery methods.
    • Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and presentation skills.
    • Strong business acumen and ability to evaluate project financials.
    • Proficiency with CRM, Microsoft Office, and estimating platforms.
    • Valid California driver’s license.
